DIAMOND MICRODERMABRASION

Diamond microdermabrasion allows for effective exfoliation of keratinised epidermis. The skin is exposed to the impact of diamond microcrystals, which deeply cleanse the skin, reduce discolourations and acne scars, as well as shallows fine wrinkles. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.
Microdermabrasion allows for exfoliating of the skin and revitalising its surface. A microdermabrasion device has a diamond head, thanks to which removal of dead skin cells can be controlled. Removal of the upper layers of the epidermis is accompanied by remodelling of the skin and replacement of dead cells with newly synthesised cells. Depth of exfoliation, i.e. intensity of the procedure, may be adjusted to the individual needs of the skin, therefore the procedure may be used in a versatile manner to reduce various aesthetic defects. A microdermabrasion procedure is always complemented by application of an ampoule with individually selected active ingredients and an algae mask, which supports skin regeneration.

JUSTYNA GRADEK

EFFECT

Microdermabrasion produces excellent results. When do you see the effects? A single procedure improves appearance of the skin, while a series of procedures brings spectacular skin revitalisation effects. We recommend performing a series of several procedures every 1 – 3 weeks. What are the before and after effects of diamond microdermabrasion? Usually before the procedure, the skin has an uneven colour, dilated pores, is affected by such defects as discolouration, fine wrinkles and acne scars. After a series of procedures, the skin tone is evened, visibility of pores, discolourations or small scars is reduced. To maintain the effects, reminder procedures can be performed every few months

INDICATIONS FOR
MICRODERMABRASION

Microdermabrasion comprehensively improves the skin condition. Skin exfoliation with a diamond head can be performed in young and mature individuals. One indication for the procedure is the care of oily skin with clogged pores and a tendency to blackheads. Diamond microdermabrasion allows for deep cleansing of the skin, minimising visibility of dilated pores, reducing excessive activity of sebaceous glands.
People suffering from uneven skin tone and discolouration may also opt for diamond microdermabrasion procedure. Exfoliation of the surface layers results in lighting skin discolourations and skin tone unification.
Another indication for a diamond microdermabrasion procedure is smoothing of the skin surface, reduction of fine wrinkles or shallow acne scars. Microdermabrasion also perfectly deals with such skin problems as dryness and flaking, excessive keratosis of the epidermis, as well as roughness.
A diamond microdermabrasion procedure can be performed to refresh and brighten the complexion: the procedure causes better blood circulation and nourishment of the skin. Moreover, this procedure is performed in order to increase absorption of active compounds contained in preparations applied to the skin.
Microdermabrasion applied on any area of the body proves effective in reducing the visibility of stretch marks or other scars; moreover, it allows for elimination of discolourations located on the skin of the cleavage or hands.

MICRODERMABRASION
PROCEDURE

Diamond microdermabrasion is a procedure of mechanical exfoliation of the skin enabling gradual removal of epidermis to a specified depth. Thanks to that, we can control the effects of the procedure and adjust intensity of exfoliation to the current needs of the skin. How does microdermabrasion look like step by step? Diamond microdermabrasion does not require anaesthesia, it is only necessary to disinfect the skin. Before the procedure the skin is thoroughly cleansed and make-up needs to be removed. A device head is put against the selected area of the skin and it is moved over the entire surface of the treated skin. The head enables exfoliation of the top layers of skin, and the cells removed in this way are sucked in by the tip of the head. Such superficial abrasion of the epidermis is repeated during one procedure several to over a dozen times. It allows for controlling depth of skin exfoliation. A diamond microdermabrasion procedure proceeds in the same way regardless of whether it is performed on the skin of the face or other parts of the body. Microdermabrasion takes about 20 – 30 minutes.

Different diamond heads may be used during a microdermabrasion procedure. The heads differ in grain size, so they can be used on different areas of the face and body. The finer the grains, the more gentle the peeling procedure. Such delicate exfoliation is suitable, among others, for the area under the eyes. On the other hand, heads with larger grains allow for stronger, deeper skin exfoliation.

Diamond microdermabrasion can always be supplemented with skin nourishing or moisturising procedures. After exfoliation is completed, a skin care ampoule and an algae mask are applied. Then the nutrients of the preparation are absorbed by the skin to a greater extent; in addition such care supports skin regeneration after the procedure. After the procedure, the Patient can immediately return to a daily routine.

AFTER MICRODERMABRASION PROCEDURE

After undergoing a diamond microdermabrasion procedure, the skin may experience temporary redness, which disappears after a few hours. That is why microdermabrasion does not require recovery, nor does it exclude from everyday activity. During the first 48 hours after the procedure proper and delicate skin care should be applied. Perfumed cosmetics and cosmetics containing alcohol should be avoided. The Patient should avoid exposure to the sun and use of UV filters. Bathing in chlorinated water is not recommended. The Patient should not wear make-up during the first day after the procedure. The skin may peel slightly but this is not very noticeable; it is enough to use moisturising cosmetics. It is also a good idea to drink about two litres of water a day to improve the condition of the skin.
