Clitoral augmentation with hyaluronic acid consists in introducing small volumes of hyaluronic acid. The effect achieved is a slight enlargement of the clitoris, which translates into its sensitivity and enhancement of sexual sensations. The procedure takes 15-20 minutes, requires virtually no preparation, and the effects last for up to 6-12 months.
Clitoral augmentation with hyaluronic acid increases sensitivity of the clitoris and improves the quality of sexual life. The indication for the procedure is too small clitoris or its insufficient sensitivity. The procedure is dedicated to every woman who is not fully satisfied with the quality of her sexual life. The procedure is performed under infiltration anaesthesia and consists in inserting small volumes of hyaluronic acid filler under the clitoral mucosa. It is estimated that the problem of sexual frigidity and other erotic disorders may affect about 25% of women and manifests itself in low sexual desire and difficulty in achieving sexual satisfaction or total inability to experience orgasm. Treatment for mechanical frigidity includes, but is not limited to, O-Shot or clitoral augmentation. Difficulty in achieving orgasm may be primarily due to the effects of chronic stress, menopause, postpartum changes, and excessive Kegel muscle relaxation. Sexual frigidity sometimes results from individual predisposition.

Before the procedure, an anaesthetic ointment is applied to significantly reduce pain sensations, and then topical anaesthesia is administered. During the procedure hyaluronic acid is injected with a very thin needle into the appropriate parts of the clitoris.
Injection of hyaluronic acid causes enlargement and greater tension of the clitoris. As a result, this most erogenous zone of the female body becomes even more sensitive to stimuli. Since the procedure allows for improving sensations during sexual intercourse, it is one possible treatment for frigidity. The clitoris is enlarged and tighter, with a better blood supply. The effect of clitoral augmentation and firming is noticeable immediately after the procedure. After three days, the Patient can start having sexual intercourse again and experience significant improvement of the quality of sexual life.
The effect of clitoral augmentation with hyaluronic acid lasts for about 6 to 12 months: it depends on the rate of physiological degradation of hyaluronic acid in the body. After this time the procedure can be repeated.
The procedure does not require much preparation.
Do not consume alcohol, caffeine or drugs 24 hours before the procedure.
One week before the procedure, do not take common painkillers, as they thin the blood and may cause more bruising after insertions. Garlic and onion have a similar effect.
If you take NSAIDs, talk to your GP and ask if you can discontinue them two weeks before your procedure. If your GP refuses, don’t discontinue your medication on your own! The procedure can still be performed, but you must expect more bruising.
Two weeks before the procedure, you can start taking vitamin C, which will strengthen capillary walls and thus reduce formation of bruises.
Immediately after the procedure the Patient can return to normal life. For 2-3 days, the clitoris and the area around it may be swollen and slightly painful. Bruising may also occur.
There are not many contraindications to the procedure, but they must be taken into consideration. Below you will find the most important of them.
Asymptomatic carrier of hepatitis B or hepatitis C.
Viral hepatitis often affects autoimmune reactions. It mainly depends on the stage of the disease as well as its activity. Only your attending physician may decide whether you are eligible for a aesthetic medicine procedure. Ask them for a written consent for the procedure. Only then, we can perform the procedure.
Diabetes.
In case of advanced diabetes wound healing is impaired. However, when treated and controlled, diabetes is not a problem. If you have diabetes, please ask your attending physician for a written consent for the aesthetic medicine procedure and present it to us on the day of the procedure.
Active cancer.
Cancer that occurred less than 5 years prior to the procedure.
Chemo- and radiotherapy
Autoimmune diseases apart from thyroid disease, acquired vitiligo, and alopecia areata. For example, these diseases include psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, sarcoidosis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis.
Treatment with Izotec or its substitutes less than 6 months prior the procedure date.
Steroids, except asthma medications and inhaled steroids, taken less than one month prior to the scheduled procedure.
Fungal medications or antibiotics taken less than one week prior to the procedure.
Tendency to keloids.
Hemofilia.
Epilepsy.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding. We do not perform procedures in pregnant ladies or nursing mothers, even with the physician’s consent. When it comes to children, one can’t be too careful!
Asymptomatic HIV infection or active AIDS.
Skin diseases in the planned treatment site.
Fever, viral or bacterial infection on the day of the procedure.
